On Thursday, the House Revenue Committee held an interim hearing on several tax programs and topics likely to come up during the 2023 session. In particular, the discussion around the state's property tax incentive programs laid the framework for one of the more prominent revenue topics in the upcoming session. Additionally, the committee discussed revenue collections from the preferential tax rates for pass-through businesses, an alternative tax for heavy equipment rentals, and announced a series of hearings covering the rudimentary elements of the property tax system.
