On Monday, the Senate Finance & Revenue Committee received a high-level overview of the state’s property tax system. Since the Legislative Revenue Office is still recruiting applicants for their open property tax economist position, Chris Allanach led the committee’s policy discussion. Presumably, Chris will continue filling this role until he hires a new staff economist, which could restrain the office’s bandwidth on other issues.
