On Tuesday, the Senate Finance & Revenue Committee held a hearing on a proposal to restore and enhance Oregon's Qualified Research Activities Tax Credit, otherwise known as the research and development (R&D) tax credit. The Joint Committee on Semiconductors is considering a similar proposal to create an R&D tax credit; however, it is unclear if the joint committee will include it in one of its incentive packages for the industry.
